It all started with a simple problem in our 156-year-old Victorian home—a few cracked tiles in the fireplace. Seeking to preserve the historical authenticity of our beloved house, we embarked on a quest to find replacement tiles of the same quality and beauty. However, our search proved fruitless, and this setback led to a creative spark that would change our lives.
From Inspiration to Creation
Blending our backgrounds in design and fine-art ceramics, my husband Sean and I (Ashley), decided to take matters into our own hands. We became tile artisans, inspired by the rich history surrounding us.
Our journey began with the meticulous recreation of the tiles for our fireplace surround, paying homage to the Victorian craftsmanship that originally graced our home. The result was not only a successful restoration but also a beautiful and charming work of art.
